SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several parts of Kashmir this month to facilitate maintenance and other works on 33 kV transmission lines. The affected areas include Tral-i-Payeen, Tral-i-Bala, Chewa, Lurgam, Gulabagh and Aripal. The affected areas include Tulip Garden, Pahloo, Taj Vivanta, Exchange Colony, Handampora, Pathanbagh and the Filtration Plant. A shutdown of the 33 kV Wanganpora-Takanwari line on August 13 will affect power supply to Sangam, Shanglipora and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm. KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled power interruptions.
