AdvertisementA LEGENDARY Limerick pub is expected to reopen its doors to punters later this year.
Costello’s Tavern on Dominic Street, known as ‘Costies’, is seen as a cornerstone of Limerick nightlife since opening its doors in 1970.
The popular pub closed in March 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic with much speculation and pleas from the public since about when it might open its doors again.
A post on the @everypublimerick Instagram page showed pub owner, Flan Costello, sitting outside the pub last week where he confirmed that works are underway to welcome back customers.
