Presque Isle State Park at 301 Peninsula Dr, Erie, is a sandy peninsula that juts into Lake Erie and creates something that feels much more like a coastal vacation than a state park day trip. The park draws over 4 million visitors a year, making it the most visited state park in Pennsylvania. In 2003, a tornado tore through Kinzua Bridge State Park at 296 Viaduct Rd, Mt Jewett, and toppled four of the bridge’s eleven towers.
