An 18-year-old male was arrested after firing a handgun during a bonfire gathering near Pequaywan Lake Road and Fox Farm Road in North Star Township on Sunday, August 9. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a person with a firearm who had shot toward another individual in the early morning hours. The Sheriff’s Office said the suspect fired two rounds from a handgun during the altercation. “The reckless and dangerous discharge of a firearm will not be tolerated in our community,” said the Sheriff’s Office. The case remains under investigation by St. Louis County authorities.
