By KATRINA BRANDONSERVING the needs of local people, Anglicare Victoria and the Morwell Anglican Parish has collaborated, opening a new emergency relief (ER) centre in Morwell. The new ER aims to provide critical food and fuel relief in Morwell, as the ongoing cost-of-living crisis places further strain on local households. And so it’s this partnership, I think, and this common vision that we share that we celebrate today, as much as the volunteers and the team leaders, and the funding that makes this emergency relief centre possible.” The ER centre can provide food vouchers, petrol vouchers and food parcels, depending on individual circumstances and eligibility. The ER centre operates from Boyd House, St Mary’s Anglican Church, 6-8 Latrobe Road, Morwell and is open every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm.
