AWANTIPORA: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), with the approval of the Vice Chancellor, has launched a Centralised Outreach and Community Engagement Programme, ‘Rabt-u-Nisbat– Building Meaningful Associations for a Sustainable Society.’ A key focus of Rabt-u-Nisbat will be to connect with schools, colleges and communities, particularly in rural, remote and underserved areas. The initiative will also provide external stakeholders greater access to the University’s academic and research resources through laboratory visits, expert interactions, demonstrations, workshops and other knowledge-sharing activities. The Dean Outreach Office will serve as the nodal point for institutional outreach activities, facilitating coordination among different units and helping strengthen existing partnerships while developing new ones. Through Rabt-u-Nisbat, IUST aims to make its relationship with society more purposeful, sustained and mutually beneficial, while contributing to educational, scientific, economic and social development across Jammu & Kashmir.
