A delegation of BRS leaders visited the 1,000-bedded TIMS Hospital at Alwal, a major healthcare initiative launched during the previous BRS administration led by K Chandrashekar Rao. Speaking on the occasion, BRS Official Spokesperson Dr Manne Krishank criticised the Congress administration for failing to complete and operationalise the hospital despite repeated public assurances. Krishank alleged that the Congress administration appears to be intentionally postponing the inauguration of the super-speciality hospital until upcoming elections rather than providing immediate medical services to citizens. He further condemned the police for objecting to the inspection by BRS leaders following a complaint from the local Congress MLA, which claimed prior permission was mandatory to enter the premises. Furthermore, BRS leaders described the police action of disconnecting the electricity supply at the hospital during their visit as entirely unnecessary, high-handed, and politically motivated.
