Hyderabad: The Congress high command has directed the Telangana Congress to keep Dornakal MLA Dr Ramachandra Naik aside and select another leader for the post of Deputy Speaker. The high command also expressed its displeasure over the recent Thungathurthi episode involving local MLA Mandula Samuel and Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy. According to party sources, AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge expressed strong displeasure over the Ramachandra Naik issue. Kharge is learnt to have warned Telangana Congress leaders that such developments send the wrong message to party leaders and cadre. The high command has also instructed the Telangana Congress leadership to focus seriously on the SIR process to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral rolls.
