Govt doctors’ body hails decision on promotions

Hyderabad: The Telangana Teaching Government Doctors Association (TTGDA) has thanked the government and the Health Minister C Damodar Raja Narsimha for their thoughtful consideration in including the 2023 and 2024 batch Associate Professors, along with the regular panel Associate Professors, for promotion to the post of Professor.
The TTGDA leader Dr Kiran Madhala said that this was a bold, progressive, and far-reaching decision that would significantly increase the number of Professors in Government Medical Colleges, thereby strengthening both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education across Telangana.
“We deeply appreciate this visionary step taken in the interest of medical education and patient care,” said Dr Kiran.
The TTGDA leader said that over 600 Professors in just two years are an unprecedented achievement in the history of medical education in India.
This landmark initiative would significantly strengthen the academic workforce and enhance the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education across Telangana.
