Brake, based in West Yorkshire, has spoken out ahead of its annual Road Safety Week campaign. In total, 29,918 people were killed or seriously injured, with 56 per cent of victims being pedestrians, cyclists, or motorcyclists. Road Safety Week 2026 will run from November 15 to 21 and will focus on protecting vulnerable road users. Mr Moorlock said: "That’s why Road Safety Week 2026 is more important than ever. Last year, Brake’s National Road Victim Service supported around 3,200 people affected by road crashes.
