Netflix has set a release schedule for Danny Boyle’s “Ink,” the upcoming feature about how Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch (Guy Pearce) and tabloid editor Larry Lamb (Jack O’Connell) launched The Sun newspaper in 1969. Netflix will release the film theatrically on December 11th before then releasing it on its streaming service four weeks later on January 8th. Meanwhile, Joel Coen’s new gothic mystery film “Jack of Spades” is reportedly targeting a release sometime in 2027 and is expected to bypass awards consideration this year. Set in 1880s Scotland, the cast is led by Josh O’Connor, Frances McDormand, Lesley Manville and Damian Lewis. A 150-minute version of the film was originally made and a new, shorter version was test-screened, which was very well received.
