Forensic experts have detected traces of human semen in samples taken from a woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted by a plastic surgeon while sedated in an operating theatre in Murcia. The surgeon, identified only as David S., was arrested in December 2025 and has remained in custody after denying the allegations. Vaginal and endocervical swabs were reportedly taken at Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital shortly after the alleged incident came to light. The surgeon reportedly faces two additional sexual assault allegations, one of which investigators have described as being supported by strong evidence. The case remains under judicial investigation, and no final determination of guilt has been made.
