I have been writing critically about genetic research on schizophrenia for many years, beginning with my 1998 dissertation. The first schizophrenia twin study was published in 1928 by Hans Luxenburger, a Munich associate of Rüdin. Schizophrenia twin research. Yet, they continue to defend schizophrenia twin research by using several arguments I examined in Chapter 4 of Schizophrenia and Genetics. There’s an interesting trend in schizophrenia twin research that is consistent with non-genetic interpretations of concordance rate differences.
