According to BBC Weather, early in the week will remain relatively warm and settled, with places such as Chelmsford expected to see temperatures between 24C and 28C from Monday through to Wednesday. However, conditions are forecast to intensify significantly from Thursday, when much hotter air moves across the county. By Thursday and Friday, parts of Essex could experience peak temperatures of 33C to 34C. Braintree is among the areas expected to feel the brunt of the heat, with highs reaching 34C, while Colchester is set to see similarly high temperatures of 31C to 33C. Further along the coast, Harwich is expected to peak at 29C, with cooler sea breezes keeping temperatures slightly lower than inland areas.
