Vijayawada: Reaffirming APGenco’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality 24x7 power supply across the state, Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGenco) managing director S Nagalakshmi on Wednesday directed officials to operate all thermal generating units at their optimum capacity.
She later chaired a review meeting with senior officials to assess the plant’s operational performance and ongoing development works.
The MD reviewed the performance of the 800 mw Stage-V supercritical unit, describing it as crucial to meeting the state’s growing power demand.
She also emphasised strict compliance with environmental norms, expedited upgradation of electrostatic precipitators (ESPs), and adherence to workplace safety standards.
Nagalakshmi noted that Dr NTTPS has an installed capacity of 2,560 mw, comprising six 210 mw units, one 500 mw unit and one 800 mw supercritical unit, making it one of APGenco’s largest generating stations and a key contributor to Andhra Pradesh’s energy security.
