Hyderabad: The state government has announced a series of measures aimed at strengthening agricultural logistics and further enhancing farmer welfare.
At a high-level review meeting held on Wednesday at Civil Supplies Bhavan, senior officials discussed an extensive mechanisation plan for Procurement Purchase Centres (PPCs) to address recurring Hamali shortages and expedite the procurement process.
A primary focus of the strategy involves transitioning from manual handling to complete mechanical automation at major procurement hubs to systematically resolve recurring Hamali labour shortages.
The department intends to deploy automated stackers and integrated cleaner-cum-bagging machinery at high-volume PPCs to significantly reduce manual dependency.
Officials confirmed that prices have been thoroughly reviewed, with no alarming signs observed across the 11 Price Monitoring Centres functioning across Telangana.
