The Israeli influencer who posted the video at the centre of the Bankstown‑Lidcombe Hospital case has said that he has received threats and is apprehensive about travelling to Australia to give evidence.
Ilinsky is expected to appear as a prosecution witness when former nurses Sarah Abu Lebdeh, 27, and Ahmad Rashad Nadir, 28, face the District Court from 31 August.
The footage, posted online by Ilinsky, allegedly captures the nurses making threatening remarks about Israeli patients while on duty.
News reports say authorities will meet Ilinsky’s travel and accommodation costs and are considering security arrangements after he received threats.
Abu Lebdeh and Nadir have pleaded not guilty to charges of using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.
