A local meatless restaurant will soon be getting some new digs after leasing the former space of another veggie-friendly spot up the street. Takeout restaurant Yummvees is planning to relocate from 2118 W. Cary St. to 22 S. Addison St., taking over the 1,400-square-foot space from Fresca on Addison, which closed last year. After that, Yummvees relocated late last year to the Cary Street space after TBT El Gallo moved. Yummvees currently offers animal-free iterations of standard restaurant options like Reuben sandwiches and burgers. Flitcraft said she’s excited to keep the restaurant space’s history going and to return to in-house dining, something she stopped after moving to ChefSuite.
