Brisbane Broncos dummy-half Cory Paix is set for season-ending surgery on his injured shoulder. Initially, he had planned to have surgery in the off-season, as the club hoped to make the finals. Now that the Broncos won't make the finals and are 16th on the ladder, the club has made a call for Paix to be healthy and available for next season. Now that Paix has been ruled out for the remaining four games, Michael Maguire has plenty of options to utilise at hooker. The Broncos will also be without Adam Reynolds when the club hosts the Warriors on Saturday night.
