Visakhapatnam: District in-charge Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy on Wednesday conducted a surprise inspection of the Dr BR Ambedkar Gurukulam Centre of Excellence at Madhurawada and directed officials to strengthen sanitation maintenance and ensure a conducive environment for students. During the visit, the minister interacted with students and enquired about the facilities available at the centre and the challenges they face. Stressing the importance of maintaining high standards at residential educational institutions, the minister instructed the staff to improve sanitation maintenance and ensure that students receive all essential amenities. Further, the minister mentioned that the government established excellence centres with the objective of providing access to quality education for underprivileged students on par with corporate institutions. Highlighting the government’s commitment to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, Swamy said no financial constraint would stand in the way of providing them with quality education and better opportunities.
