The daylong event that merges live performances with skateboarding competitionsLAKE GEORGE — The Lake George Skate Plaza will mark its 10th anniversary this fall with the return of the Wild in the Trees Music and Skate Festival, a daylong event that merges live performances with skateboarding competitions. Organized by Mirth Films and presented by Casella Waste Systems, the festival takes place Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George. “Ten years ago, the Lake George Skate Plaza was finally completed after years of raising money through fundraising, grants and awareness. Sponsors supporting this year’s festival include Casella Waste Systems, Lake George Steamboat Company, WEQX 102.7, Valhalla Drywall, Pizza Jerks, and Corners. We’ll also be celebrating 10 years since the groundbreaking of the Lake George Skate Plaza.”General admission is $20, while children under 8 may attend free of charge.
