DiSalvatore deliberately hid evidence of theftsALBANY — A Saratoga County woman was arrested Friday on felony larceny charges for allegedly stealing nearly $55,000 from her former employer over a four-year period, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office announced. Sheriff’s investigators arrested Jacqueline F. DiSalvatore, 60, following an investigation into larceny at her former workplace, Competitive Advantage Group. Authorities said the theft was accomplished through unauthorized personal purchases on a corporate American Express card and by diverting funds for HVAC work performed at multiple residential properties. An in-depth review of the company’s financial records found DiSalvatore allegedly “deliberately hid evidence of expenditures and transactions documenting personal spending,” according to the sheriff’s office. DiSalvatore was charged with grand larceny in the second degree, a felony; falsifying business records in the first degree, a felony; and scheme to defraud in the second degree, a misdemeanor.
