You may have to stop soon if you’re driving between Clarkston and Asotin. Asotin County Engineer Joshua Malkin presented the information to Commissioners yesterday during the weekly meeting. The DOT rep says the project has a budget of $150,000 and is funded through the state’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program. During the meeting, Commissioners asked Malkin to invite the DOT to come talk to county residents in a town hall meeting or at least a Commissioners meeting before the installation. The State DOT representative says construction will start in in late September or early October.
