['Fran Williams']
The Architects’ Journal
St Vincent Studios, located on a prominent site in Glasgow city centre, is a 321-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development for developer Artisan Real Estate.
They are aimed at students studying at all of the city’s universities: University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, the Royal Conservatoire and the Glasgow School of Art.
New public realm improvements have been introduced at street level, including landscaping, stepped seating and south-facing outdoor areas overlooking St Vincent Street.
This would overtake the 85m-high Glasgow University Tower on the 1887 Gilbert Scott Building, making it the tallest building in Scotland.
Architect’s view St Vincent Studios is our first completed PBSA project in Scotland, and we’re proud to be playing a part in supporting Glasgow’s higher education sector.
