Dredging work is expected to begin in Meaford Harbour on Aug. 17 and continue until mid-October. The work is to remove built-up sand, silt and natural material to improve boating access and keep the harbour safe and usable, the municipality said in an advisory. Article contentServices and areas that may be temporarily affected include parking, vehicle routes, pedestrian routes, boat launch access, camping access, pavilion rental access, and some harbour services, the municipality said. The RV sanitary dump station is expected to be closed during the work, while washrooms, the fish cleaning station, the harbour area, the boat launch, camping, pavilion rentals and most harbour services are expected to remain open. The public is asked to follow posted signage, use temporary vehicle and pedestrian routes and plan ahead before visiting the harbour.
