An administrator is being appointed to Hepburn Shire Council to enable the Victorian local government to run.
“What’s happening at Hepburn Shire Council is causing unnecessary disruption and its residents are paying the price.”
Hamer has subsequently written to Hepburn Shire Council’s CEO stating his intention to appoint an administrator.
“Until the private prosecution matters are resolved an administrator will ensure the council continues to deliver for the residents of Hepburn.”
The situation in Hepburn Shire prompted Rural Councils Victoria to call for the process to be fast-tracked.
