Former Middle Georgia news leader to head Museum of Aviation FoundationJones begins August 17 and succeeds Dan Rhoades, who retired in July after leading the foundation.
Lorra Jones (Credit: Museum of Aviation)WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Lorra Lynch Jones will become president and CEO of the Museum of Aviation Foundation on August 17, the foundation announced in a news release on Monday.
Museum of Aviation Foundation Board Chairman Howard “Chris” Davis said Jones’ experience and connections throughout Middle Georgia stood out during the selection process.
According to the foundation, the museum houses more than 4,500 artifacts and attracts more than 334,000 visitors each year.
“The Museum of Aviation is a treasure of U.S. military aviation history and one of Central Georgia’s greatest assets, honoring the service and sacrifice of those who have proudly served our nation,” Jones said.
