Daniel Kinahan is in custody after being charged in the Special Criminal Court. With the assistance of the Irish Air Corps, he was flown back from Dubai on the government jet and taken straight to the Special Criminal Court on Sunday evening. The 49-year-old was brought before the non-jury Special Criminal Court amid a high-security Garda operation after landing in Casement Aerodrome. He agreed to allow the court hear evidence of arrest, charge and caution and told the judges he understood everything that was said to him. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again in October.
