William Mark Schmidt, age 72, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Visitation on Thursday, October 9th, 4-8PM at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave, Apple Valley, MN. Funeral services on Friday, October 10th, 11AM at Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 E. County Rd 42, Burnsville, MN with interment at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, MN. Bill was born on April 2, 1953, to Bill and Harriet (McCabe) Schmidt. He graduated from Le Center High School and had a successful career at Continental Machines and Ritchie Engineering. He married Marlene Regenscheid of St. Peter and raised four children in Burnsville. Bill was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, bother, uncle, neighbor and friend. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene Schmidt; their children Brad (Kristin) Schmidt and Kim (Adam) Slota; and grandchildren Keira and Jenna Schmidt, and Mila and Margot Slota.
