Rangareddy: Following reports of maternal deaths from different parts of Rangareddy district, senior health department officials held a detailed meeting to deliberate and analyse the actual number of maternal deaths while taking a comprehensive stock of healthcare facility operations.
During the meeting, individual cases of maternal mortality were reviewed, with detailed reports obtained directly from medical officers and relevant health staff.
The meeting witnessed the presence of District Medical and Health Officer Swarna Kumari, district-level programme officers, Deputy DMHOs, Medical Officers from respective Primary Health Centres, and health staff serving areas where maternal deaths occurred.
DMHO Swarna Kumari informed the Additional Collector that the Health Department has initiated a special action plan aimed at preventing maternal deaths across the district.
District programme officers, deputy district medical and health officers, medical officers, and Primary Health Centre staff participated in the discussions.
