Core strikes high-grade lithium beyond resource

Core Lithium has intersected a broad zone of high-grade spodumene mineralisation beyond the existing resource footprint at its BP33 project, reinforcing the potential for further growth at the Finniss lithium operation in the Northern Territory.
The first diamond hole in the latest exploration program, NMRD100, returned 34.08m at 2.09 per cent lithium oxide (Li2O) from 578.70m, representing an estimated true width of 28.50m.
The result included higher-grade intervals of 5.28m at 2.80 per cent Li2O, 5.40m at 2.37 per cent Li2O, 7.11m at 2.19 per cent Li2O and 9.83m at 2.23 per cent Li2O; there was also a separate intersection of 3.43m at 2.44 per cent Li2O recorded from 616.54m.
Core Lithium managing director Paul Brown said the results strengthened the company’s view of the deposit.
The target remains conceptual and is not a mineral resource.
