Speaking in Parliament last week, Waneoroa said strengthening communities and families through development interventions has a strong correlation to a stronger, peaceful and prosperous nation. “In undertaking these interventions, implementation of the Constituency Development Funds Act 2023 is paramount to ensure legitimacy for the systems of delivery, including efficiency and effectiveness,” he said. On capacity, Waneoroa said the Ministry continues to prioritise developing the capacity of constituency officers, including at community level, to ensure the legislative and administrative reforms under the CDF are well understood.
