Friday afternoon, the CCA Lady Patriots defeated the Fullington Academy Lady Trojans 9-3 on a neutral field in Cordele. The Lady Trojans handed the Lady Patriots their first loss of the season in walk-off fashion, winning 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh. The Lady Patriots scored one run each in the fourth and fifth to take a 3-2 lead into the seventh inning. The tying run was on base but the Lady Patriots had two outs. CCA is now 4-1 on the season and hosts the Tiftarea Lady Panthers Tuesday in the Lady Patriots’ home opener.
