Hanumakonda: Congress Minority leaders on Wednesday dismissed the allegations made by BRS Minority leaders against Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, describing them as politically motivated and devoid of facts.
Addressing a press conference at the District Congress Committee (DCC) office, former Wakf Board Chairman Ismail, Telangana activist Raheemunnisa Begum, and other leaders said the MLA has consistently worked for the welfare and development of minority communities.
Ismail alleged that the previous BRS government failed to fulfil key promises, including 12 per cent reservation for Muslims, and neglected minority welfare during its decade-long rule.
He said MLA Naini Rajender Reddy facilitated the allotment of three acres each for a Muslim Kabristan and a Christian burial ground and assured development of the sites with roads, compound walls, and entrance gates.
Congress leaders reiterated that the party remains committed to safeguarding minority interests and accused the BRS of attempting to mislead the public for political gain.
