A giant pothole on a major Australian road has damaged dozens of cars, leaving drivers stranded in wild winter weather on Monday. The pothole — nicknamed the ‘Bunyip crater’ — is located on the Princes Highway outside of Bunyip in Victoria, and has left a trail of destruction in its wake. Melbourne radio station 3AW is reporting up to 23 drivers have been forced to pull over to check their cars for damage after hitting the pothole. “Ironically the roadworks are 2km up the road filling potholes but missed the big one,” the person said. “There’s just multiple very large potholes that when they’re full of water, they’re just impossible to see,” he said.
