A “super high” suspect fled deputies, led them on a chase, and ultimately crashed into a ditch earlier this month, according to a sheriff’s office report. The officer initiated a traffic stop but Gilliard didn’t stop, the report says. In the report, Gilliard stated that he had been in Alma where he had “smoked weed and got super high.” He fled the officer, the report says, because he didn’t want to get caught. Gilliard was arrested and charged with a number of traffic violations as well as DUI-drugs and fleeing/attempting to elude officers.
