The Ministry of Commerce announced the suspension of a car dealership and its ban from importing vehicles. The dealer was also fined SR8.12 million for failing to comply with consumer rights and for violating the Commercial Agencies Law and its executive regulations. The violations also include those pertaining to provisions related to maintenance, spare parts availability, manufacturing quality guarantees, and the provision of after-sales services to consumers. The penal action followed the discovery of 175 violations by the dealership, including the unavailability of spare parts and failure to provide replacement vehicles during maintenance periods. A specialized team from the ministry investigated the violations, contacted consumers, and ensured that they received their due compensation and replacement vehicles.
