Brosnan's ties to the BIG EAST began with his career as a student-athlete in the formative years of the league. From 2021-25, Brosnan served as the chief executive of Hoyas Rising, a private company which served as the external name, image, and likeness arm for Georgetown Athletics. He has served on the Board of Regents at Georgetown University, where he chaired the Athletic Committee, and was a Board Member of the Fordham Law School Alumni Association. Established in 1979 and headquartered in New York City, the BIG EAST's members are located in eight of the country's top 36 largest media markets and include Butler University, University of Connecticut, Creighton University, DePaul University, Georgetown University, Marquette University, Providence College, St. John's University, Seton Hall University, Villanova University and Xavier University.
