The Mufti of Poland met with local officials in the Podlaskie region to discuss ways to increase cooperation in preserving and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the Polish Tatars and to launch a museum dedicated to the history of this Muslim group. Therefore, it is important to consider creating a museum dedicated to the history of the Polish Tatars to preserve their narratives and introduce them to the wider society. In Podlaskie, a region where a significant part of the Polish Tatar Muslim community resides, efforts are underway to revitalize this heritage through museums, educational programs, cultural events, tourism initiatives, and festivals. In this context, Sheikh Tomasz Mięskiewicz, Mufti of the Republic of Poland, discussed with Piotr Reczko, head of the Municipality of Sokoła, ways to enhance cooperation in the preservation and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage of the Polish Tatars. These sites serve as tangible evidence of the long-standing presence of the Tatar community and its commitment to preserving its religious and cultural identity.
