Weighing just 1,975 lbs, Emory’s Porsche 356 ‘Outlaw’ is a true driver’s car. Heading to auction this week will be one of its latest projects, a 1956 Porsche 356 Cabriolet with a classic design but modern power. Viewed from afar, you could be excused for thinking this 356 was largely original, simply refurbished and brought back to new. The whole car weighs just 1,975 lbs (896 kg), which is 391 lbs (177 kg) less than a new Mazda MX-5 at 2,366 lbs (1,073 kg). The flat-four is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with power sent to the rear wheels.
