Infectious bursal disease (IBD) presents differently depending on the country and region. These diseases become even more problematic when birds are also challenged by infectious bursal disease (IBD). Similarly, co-infection with IBD and IBH can have a substantial impact on flock health and performance. Although both strains are immunosuppressive, they differ in their level of pathogenicity and overall impact on flock health and performance. I always emphasize to our veterinary clients that IBD vaccination is not a one-size-fits-all solution.
