The Public Accounting Oversight Board today swore in Kyle Hauptman as a board member at a ceremony at the Securities and Exchange Commission. The announcement comes after the PCAOB swore in its new chairman Demetrios Logothetis in February, along with two other board members, Mark Calabria and Steven Laughton. Originally, he was appointed by Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate to serve as an NCUA board member in December 2020. "I'm honored to join the PCAOB and look forward to working with my colleagues to strengthen the capital markets," Hauptman said in a statement. "Of particular interest will be the technological changes that are transforming both the audit industry and the PCAOB itself."
