Processing ContentThe Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board aims to improve federal financial reporting through issuing federal financial accounting standards and providing guidance after considering the needs of external and internal users of federal financial information. The executive director is the principal advisor to the FASAB chair and board. The executive director is also responsible for reviewing staff papers that support Board deliberations. In addition, the executive director represents FASAB as a spokesperson on technical issues at a variety of speaking engagements, serves as a primary liaison with key stakeholder groups, and develops the FASAB budget. The executive director is responsible for the overall administration of FASAB.
