The Kikinahk Friendship Centre celebrated 50 years of operation in La Ronge on Aug. 6.
The Friendship Centre is a non-profit community and cultural organization that aims to assist Indigenous communities through programs, initiatives, and social welfare services.
“It really shows that we have a lot of history in the building and in the community.
The Kikinahk Friendship Centre will be hosting “Fuel Good Day” on Sept. 15, where every litre of fuel purchased helps support the organization’s programs and services.
“I feel that it’s important to have a friendship centre in La Ronge to provide services that other organizations can’t.”
