The Cinnabar Elementary School District has named Petaluma native Amy Circo as its new joint superintendent and principal. The Petaluma Argus-Courier reports Circo brings nearly 30 years of educational experience to the role, having most recently served in the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District. Her appointment comes as the single-school Petaluma district transitions from a TK-8 model down to a TK-6 school starting this week. District officials say dropping the middle school grades will allow Cinnabar to offer smaller class sizes, averaging under 20 students per room. The 2026-27 school year officially kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12th.
