(AURN News) — Rob Bluey believes conservative media is having a moment in the age of President Donald Trump, but he says the real test is whether outlets such as The Daily Signal can turn new access into serious journalism.
Critics argue that giving more space to conservative outlets risks creating an echo chamber instead of stronger accountability.
He said that reflects the reality that conservative outlets reach a large segment of the country that institutions want to better understand.
But Bluey also pushed back on the idea that conservative media should serve as a mouthpiece for Trump, Republicans or any political movement.
For conservative media, the Trump era has opened doors.
