(Callands, VA) -An owner and president of a local farm is going to be spending more time in Richmond. Robert Mills, serves as president of Briar View Farms in Callands was appointed by Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger to the Governor’s Advisory Council on Revenue Estimates (GACRE) on Monday. The GACRE is comprised of state legislators and private sector business leaders to evaluate economic assumptions and validate tax collection forecasts to prevent political gridlock and ensure Virginia maintains a structurally balanced budget. Mills currently holds the title of Vice President of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation and according to the federation’s website is a past president of the board of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
