For every child born on or after September 1, 2026, the one-time birth grant will amount to 500,000 drams, regardless of the child’s birth order, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reported.
It noted that state support provided in Armenia following the birth of a child includes maternity benefits, the one-time birth grant, childcare benefits until the child turns two, and a monthly benefit of 50,000 drams following the birth of a third or subsequent child in a family.
Applications for the childcare benefit can be submitted after the child reaches 70 days of age.
Following the birth of a third or any subsequent child in a family, the 50,000-dram benefit is paid monthly until the child turns six.
A family with an existing mortgage can, following the birth of a child, benefit from the second component of the state housing assistance program for families with children.
