Credit: StockSnap / PixabayA 24-hour swimathon is set to make waves in Perth’s north in October, with swimmers of all abilities encouraged to take the plunge for Telethon. The inaugural event will be hosted by the City of Wanneroo at Wanneroo Aquamotion over Telethon weekend, October 17 and 18. The funds support more than 100 beneficiaries across WA in 2026, including organisations providing medical care, research, therapies and support services for children and families. Individuals and teams of up to four can register for the Wanneroo Swimathon for $50, with participants encouraged to seek sponsorship and raise funds beyond the entry fee to further support Telethon.
