The funding will support the delivery of 110 road safety projects across the state, including 50 in regional WA and 60 in the metropolitan area. The WA Government is committing $23.29 million towards the State Black Spot Program, with a further $6 million to be contributed by local governments from around Western Australia to support safety projects on local roads. A further $55 million, co-funded by the Road Trauma Trust Account, will be allocated to the 2026-27 Safer Roads Program to fund crucial upgrades and road safety improvements throughout the state.
